Impairment concerns any loss or deviation of physiological, neurological or anatomical structure or function of an organ or body part. Moreover, it refers to any physiological disorder or condition, cosmetic disfigurement, or anatomical loss affecting one or more of the body's multiple systems, including the special sense organs, neurological, musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, reproductive, digestive, genito-urinary, hemic and lymphatic, skin and endocrine systems.
