Hardwoods

Hardwoods are referring to trees that lose their leave in winter. It is a description applied to woods from deciduous broad-leafed trees (Angiosperms).

Moreover, hardwoods are the botanical group of trees that have broad leaves, produce a fruit or nut, and generally go dormant in the winter. Hardwood trees are: Alder, Ash, Aspen, Basswood, Beech, Birch, Cherry
Cottonwood, Cypress, Elm, Gum, Hackberry, Hard Maple, Hickory and Pecan, Pacific Coast Maple, Poplar, Red Oak
Sassafras, Soft Maple, Sycamore, Walnut, White Oak, Willow
