Speedline Group was born in 1975, when the Venetian family Zacchello decided to acquire E.S.A.P., a small handicraft firm with 25 workers and covering 2000 m2. This firm manufactured competition wheels, above all for Formula 1. Speedline starts its quick and incredible growing thanks to very important customers like Ferrari on F1, Abarth on Rally and Fiat group for Original Equipment Market. In 1987, Speedline became a group, with different and business specialised companies, directed by the leader, Speedline S.p.A.. In August 1997, AMCAST Corporation, an American company quoted in the New York Stock Exchange, important for both the automotive and the fluid control business areas, acquires Speedline S.p.A.. The new ownership, deeply reorganised and re-launched the firm, unifying all the societies under one single legal subject: Speedline S.r.L.. Now, Speedline S.r.L. manufactures about 4.000.000 wheels per year and has about 1400 employees, divided in three plants: one, which is also the Headquarter of the company, in Tabina of S. Maria di Sala (VE); one in Caselle di S. Maria di Sala (VE), headquarter of Corse Division and one in Bolzano, headquarter of Speedline Truck. Speedline was the first European light alloy wheels manufacturer to obtain the certification "ISO 9001", "ISO 9002" and strict "QS 9000" and is in the process of achieving ISO 14000 certification for the respect and protection of environment.
