Absorption-Type is a term introduced in ICRP's revised respiratory tract model (ICRP-66) to replace the clearance classes in ICRP-30. The absorption types are Type F for fast absorption, formerly called Class D; Type M for moderate absorption, formerly called Class W; and Type S for slow absorption, formerly called Class Y.
