Book-sewing

Book sewing involves the process of : (1) stitching sheets of gathered and collated signatures and sewing signatures into book form preparatory to binding; (2) threading of needles, adjusting machine bed to width of signatures, setting feed arms for size of signatures, and passing tape through guides, following written instructions; (3) opening of signatures and placing it over feed arm of the machine; (4) placing signatures in succession on feed arms, depressing pedal to sew individual signatures and stitching sewed signatures together; and lastly; (4) stopping machine from running when delivery table is full; and cutting of the stitch holding the book together.
