Canopy bed is a bed with a fabric roof over it, originally a symbol of rank and privilege. Today the canopy may be a wrought iron or wood frame with no draperies.

Canning has something to do with the process by which a food product is enclosed in a sterilized container totally impervious to microbes and heated until all microorganisms inside the container are killed. Food products may be "canned" in cans, jars, or some plastic pouches.

Canister vacuum works best on hard surfaces or smaller carpeted areas, such as stairs. A suction hose picks up dirt, and their lightweight structure and retractable cord make this vacuum convenient and ideal for easy storage.

Campsite (or campground) is a place used for camping. The term 'campsite' usually means an area where an individual or family might camp.

Calvados is described as an apple brandy produced in Normandy, France, by the distillation of a fermented mash of apples. It is subjected to two pot-still distillations, and is then aged in oak barrels.

Calf is characterized as young male or female bovine animal under 1 year of age. Calf is a a baby cattle.

Calendering pertains to the process of smoothing the surface of the paper by pressing it between rollers. Uncalendered papers (those not made smooth by calendering) have a less smooth texture.
